Adjust Your Emergency Kit
Since the snow has stopped dropping, it is time to remove all the emergency items that were specifically meant for winter, such as winter jackets, tire chains and winter boots. Make sure all the other emergency essentials are in place and working correctly.
Check whether your spare tire is properly inflated, whether the jumper cables are in perfect condition and have no frayed wires in case of an emergency, and whether you have enough water stacked in case of the car overheating. Check the batteries in the flashlight and change if need be.
