The exhaust and the muffler are the major and most important parts of the exhaust system. When these two parts are either leaking or malfunctioning, your vehicle will become noisy and produce a very loud noise. This is the noise coming from the combustion chamber where the fuel is burnt and converted into toxic gases.

Exhausts consists of valves and pistons and chamber-to-exhaust manifold that moves exhaust fumes from the combustion chamber. The manifold is the passage from the cylinder to catalytic converters, which breaks down the toxic gases and turn them into gas that can be released into the atmosphere.

The exhaust pipes then carry the clean gases to the muffler. Its job is to reduce combustion-related noise and exhaust ejection. From the mufflers, the gases are released via the tail pipe. This is the final part of the process that releases the clean gases to the atmosphere.
