Did you know that your tire pressure light could be illuminated for a variety of reasons? If you have been driving around with this light on, then it is time to take the necessary precautions. This post will cover some of the most common causes and steps to take to fix them. We have compiled a list of the reasons why this message might pop up in your car dashboard.

1) Low air pressure- The first reason your tire pressure warning light can come on is if one or more tires are low on air pressure. This should be an easy fix! Check all four tires and inflate as needed until they register between 30-35 psi (pounds per square inch).

2) Low tire pressure sensor- Another cause for this problem is the low tire pressure sensor. This is usually caused by an issue with the car's computer system or it could be that there was a short in your wiring or fuse box.
