A clean engine is very beneficial for identifying oil leaks and preventing external engine parts from becoming too difficult to remove when repairs are needed. It's an easy do-it-yourself task. Here's how Ruxer Truck Center suggests that drivers in Jasper clean their car's engine.

Items needed:

  • Can of Degreaser
  • Scrub Brush
  • Garden Hose
  • Running Water

The first thing that you must do is remove the negative battery cable. That ensures you protect the electrical components. Spray the engine using a bottom-to-top formation. Allow the degreaser to remain on the engine for the specified timeframe listed on the can of degreaser. Then, scrub away the dirt and debris, paying close attention to tight areas. Once you're satisfied with the results, immediately wash away the dirt and debris using a garden hose. Never use a power wash device, as this may cause engine damage or loosen electrical connections. Repeat the process as needed to accomplish your desired outcome. Allow the engine to dry itself and then reconnect the negative battery cable.
