You've driven long enough to know that being prepared for a collision is smart, so consider the following tips:
- You need to assess injuries as soon as you can.
- Call for medical assistance and the police.
- Move your vehicle to a safe location, if needed.
- Call your insurance company to report the accident.
- Do your best to jot down what happened, record what you can, and take pictures if you can.
- Exchange information with everyone involved in the accident.
- Exchange information with the other driver, and that is it.
Try to get your vehicle repaired afterwards, or consider getting a newer model. You might want to get a vehicle that comes with anti-collision technology. We have a number of those in our inventory, and we encourage you to take a test drive.
